Class Description
This course will give you the opportunity to learn about and discuss eight current topics in international relations: 1. American Foreign Policy at a Crossroads, 2. U.S. Changing Leadership in a Global Economy, 3. Navigating US-China Relations in Tense Times, 4. India: Between China, the West, and the Global South, 5. The Future of NATO and European Security, 6. American Policy in the Middle East, 7. Russia’s Challenge to the West, and 8. Syria After Assad. Our text will be Great Decisions 2025 by the Foreign Policy Association. If you have not already pre-ordered a copy through me, you can purchase a copy by Googling “Great Decisions 2025” and then clicking on the second option: “Great Decisions Materials.” Then add the “Great Decisions 2025 Briefing Booklet” to your cart and go from there. Please note that delivery can take up to 15 days so act quickly. There is also a companion volume in which I explain or expand on materials in the text. This should cost about $5-7. It will be available for purchase at a trunk sale in the parking lot of the center, on Friday, March 28 from 10:30-noon.
