Reduce Tension and Move Better

with Gail Thompson

Class Description

Reduce Tension and Move Better in the Head, Neck, and Shoulders Would you like to release tension in your head, neck, and shoulders? Experience easier movement in reaching, walking, and other activities by standing more upright? Could neuroplasticity help you accomplish that? The Feldenkrais Method® helps us learn easier movement, with increased flexibility and balance, while possibly reducing chronic pain. Join us online or in person for small, slow movement variations that communicate with the brain. In the winter session our weekly sessions will focus on movements of the head/jaw, neck, and shoulders to help us reduce muscle tension and improve support for the head. Please note that these lessons are not aerobics or strength exercise. No experience needed. Lessons may be done lying on a mat on the floor or seated in flat-bottomed chairs. Wear comfortable clothing. All participants will be asked to agree to a liability release form. *Please Note: I am teaching on Zoom and In Person at the same time. Please sign up for one format or the other, knowing that you can switch between them during the term. Tuesdays, 1:30 – 2:30 INSTRUCTOR ZOOM and In Person: B5 Class Limit: 50 Zoom; 12 In Person
